Were it not for the intervention of Europeans, Maoris would be still devouring each other, cannibalism and infanticide have never been part of any European society, they were both accepted and deeply rooted in Maori culture, a window into the mind and morality of you savages and perhaps a reason for the ongoing child murders and other apalling crime stats.

The difference today is that pakeha still cannibalise whereas Maori left that in the past. look at the villages in bavaria southern germany where people are often eaten, or are locked in basements for years. in fact all cases today of cannabalism are committed by pakeha NOT Maori.
