As far as i know you can choose a record format,mpg 2,div x,if not now it will come in the upgrades.then you can transfer what you have recorded to your external ps3 hard drive and from ther to you pc or whatever else you want to view it on or burn to dvd,a lot of choice.And of course watch all your content on your psp.

Hmm I agreez with ur feeries!I just compared play tv to the inbuilt freeview on my tv and it is much much much better for the menu system alone, plus I noticed in currys you can buy freeview boxes for 60 quid with no recording feature. So yeah, you are teh right.

In total, for what it gives, PlayTV is actually really cheap. I think cutting the price down even more wouldn't be very good for the people behind Playstation. I have freeview, and it really isn't good (the guide-screen is really slow, and the whole archive and recording department on freeview is slow and unreliable and is just useless when it comes to the point when you want to watch 2 programmes or whatever). I can't wait to take out £60 for PlayTV, in fact I wouldn't mind paying more :)
